BWC 2015 – Business Women Congress on the 7th March 2015
The Business Women Congress was established to show that women from the Central Europe are successful in their careers. At the congress the guests are inspired by prominent speakers from the business world and they are furthermore challenged in workshops. The Congress takes place every year in March and is supported by the Embassies of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary (or V4 Embassies).
Ms. Brigitte Vanatova was one of the panellists and the law firm DE KONING VERGOUWEN was one of the sponsors (see also https://www.dekoningvergouwen.nl/en/who-we-are/brigitte-vanatova).
The Czech company BALVIN GLASS (http://www.balvinglass.cz/en/) provided the beautiful vase, hand blown, hand decorated, and plated with the platinum – simply the great piece of art – as the main price which was awarded to Mr. Frank van Gool, Chairman, shareholder and co-founder of OTTO Work Force.
In addition, the initiative is also supported by the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy and the Municipality of The Hague.
The congress is an initiative by Mrs. Kasia Nowak and Marysia Bialek who has over the last few years observed that women from Eastern Europe are much more ambitious than people realise. Mercer Research shows that in Hungary or Poland 33% and 30% respectively of top positions are held by women. In the Netherlands this figure stands at only 19%.
